Developing Open OnDemand for your Cluster open-ondemand mentorship Have you heard good things about using Open OnDemand but haven't had the time to set it up on your cluster? Open OnDemand team members will mentor you through the process of installing and configuring Open OnDemand at your institution Details The Open OnDemand team is interested in hearing from system administrators that would like to install open ondemand, and set it up for use by their constituents. In this mentorship, we will walk you throught the steps to install and maintain Open OnDemand on your campus cluster and customize it for your campus or a particular department on your campus. Goal 1 Walk through the Ruby ecosystem: the docs, package management, and general ruby concepts that may be a bit foreign to some devs such as iteration, code blocks, and the differing use of keywords like `self`, `@` and other atypical coding conventions. Goal 2 Walk through the OOD ecosystem: the various repos with a focus on the main repos of ondemand and ood_core to show how the frontend and backend work with schedulers. Tie this back to how the apps have a common structure to interact with these 2 parst of OOD. Goal 3 Live code: have the mentee choose between building an ood app or making a contribution to one of the main repos and walk through the contribution to completion.
